This class will incorporate health awareness into physical education. Students will explore different activities to enhance physical fitness and offer lifelong health-related benefits.
The goal of this course is to lay a foundation of the visual arts. Students will develop their art skills through persistent effort in the art practices of coloring, cutting, drawing, painting, clay building, and printmaking. Through the course, students will understand that art tells stories, expresses one’s mood, and conveys ideas to its audience.
This club is a reading incentive program designed to encourage students to read quality literature. Students in this club will complete hands-on activities, create projects, and participate in comprehension games and competitions based on the reading selections. The course will be yearlong, as students will compete in NCPS district competition in the spring.
This course will prepare students to realize their human potential and teach them the skills they need to be 21st century leaders. Topics will include living and working in a diverse economy. Students will discuss and explore career opportunities. The course will include guest speakers as well as a college visit.
The chorus club will provide students an opportunity to develop their voices and learn more about music through singing with others. The students will work on enhancing vocal and music reading skills. They will be performing at school and other sites off campus.
This course is for students interested in discovering, exploring, and learning more about technology. Students will broaden their knowledge, increase their skills, and learn about technology trends. Activities will include digital storytelling, coding, lego design, and some robotics.
