NCPS App/Rooms
The response to our new district app has been fantastic! If you have downloaded the app, you have seen a toggle at the bottom right of the app that says School App/Rooms. The Rooms section gives teachers and parents the opportunity for two-way messaging about what is happening in the classroom. To access the Rooms section, you must receive an invite either through email or text message. Today, August 21st, the district will push out invites to parent email addresses and phone numbers that are on the contacts page of their student's account in PowerSchool. After you receive that email or text message, you can follow the directions linked in the email/message to create an account to connect to your child's Rooms. You will see your student's classes once the teachers have published them. The NCPS app is the only app parents need to use Rooms. If you are not sure if your email address or phone number are correct in PowerSchool, contact the school at 252-451-2892.

AUGUST 18th (this Friday)- is the LAST day to sign up for the bus for this school year. Do not wait until Open House to do this! The link is on the NCPS webpage. If you do not know your child's powerschool number then look at their school report card from last year, old agenda from last year or contact the school. This needs to be completed as soon as possible for a smooth start to our school year. Thank you!

We are now only 2 weeks from the start of the 2023-24 school year on August 28th! We are excited to welcome all of our students back! In preparation for your return, please view the newsletter linked below for important Bailey Elementary back to school information:

Are you ready for it? The NCPS app has everything in one place for you. If you have not downloaded it yet then let's get that done today. You will not be disappointed. Once you download it, click on the bottom right and chose your school and you will see all the updates from Bailey Elementary to make your child's start to the 23-24 school year a good one! REMINDER ALERT! We will not post anything anymore on DOJO after tomorrow. If you want updates about school then you will need the NCPS app. GO FOR IT! It only takes a few moments to download.

Last night was a great success for activating the PowerSchool Parent Portals. We went from 153 students on the portal to 220. I know many of you picked up your codes and took them home to activate them. MAKE SURE YOU ACTIVATE THEM AS SOON AS YOU CAN. Thank you for working with us in doing that. If you were unable to come last night to get your child's code then please stop by the school office Monday - Thursday from 7am -5pm and bring your ID.
FAQ - Great questions asked last night
1- How do I get the codes for my kids at other schools? You will have to go to those schools and show your ID there and they will give you their codes.
2- What if I already signed in and my password won't work? Contact Jackie Brown and Bailey Elementary and she can help you with getting that reset.
3-Why do I need the new app and the PowerSchool Parent Portal? When Class DOJO ends then ROOMS(has not opened yet) will begin through the new NCPS app. You can also access the Powerschool Parent Portal through the NCPS app as well. With powerschool you can access your child's grades(3rd-12th grade).
4- What is ROOMS? It will take the place of Class Dojo - contact with the teacher. The only way to get access is if you sign in using your PowerSchool Parent Portal username and password. (More info to come)
