Although we are enjoying Spring Break, we couldn't let the week go by without celebrating our outstanding Assistant Principal Mr. Brandon Lucas during Assistant Principal Week. We are so blessed to have such an amazing assistant principal. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to the students, staff, and community of M.B. Hubbard. PBIS is hosting a fundraiser this week for students. Students can pay $5 to dress out of uniform Monday, March 25 through Thursday, March 28.

Today members of our Lego/Technology team traveled to the Rocky Mount Event Center and participated in the Brick City Engineering Competition. Our students did a great job, working together to showcase their teamwork, knowledge of STEM careers based on the books they've studied and coding abilities. We are so proud of their hardwork and hope they continue exploring STEM opportunities. Great job Hornets!

🎨Celebration of the Arts🎨 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, 3/26 at Rocky Mount High! Join us to celebrate the brilliance of Nash County Public Schools' students at our Celebration of the Arts! This event showcases artwork from students across the district. After the celebration, the artwork will be displayed at the Braswell Memorial Library throughout the month of April. Today students received their Technology Fee statements. As a reminder: All technology fees are to be paid online. Technology fees include the yearly user fee of $20 and any repair fees your child may receive during the school year, all of which can be paid online. Technology fees are assessed by the technician assigned to the school based on the device repair needs. As a reminder any technology fees not paid in the year they are received, will roll over to the next year until paid. Unity Fri-Yay! Come together as a community of unity and wear green as a symbol to prevent Gun Violence and share your photos in the comments! Gun violence is preventable when you know the signs. “Say Something” upstanders have helped Sandy Hook Promise prevent 7 school shootings and 60+ acts of violence with a weapon.

Tomorrow is picture day. Students do not have to wear uniforms for picture day. Pictures do not have to be pre-ordered. Sample images will be available to view for purchase 3-5 days after picture day. Students will take spring individual and classroom pictures. If you have any questions please contact the school.

With new safety legislation effective March 1, Nash County Public Schools has updated its protocols accordingly. Nash County Public Schools, distinguished as one of six districts in North Carolina to receive the Project AWARE grant, exemplifies commitment to creating a secure educational setting. This grant, provided by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and managed through the Department of Public Instruction, highlights the district's proactive approach to student safety.
